Head of Marketing – Nokia Indonesia
We are in search of a highly motivated and passionate individual with a proven track record in holistic understanding as well as concrete execution experience in the different areas of marketing function. This is a role of a lifetime, working for a major global brand. As the Head of Marketing, Indonesia, you’ll be responsible for leading Nokia Indonesia's strategy development and marketing activities implementation and ensuring the short and long term business targets are met; Responsible for marketing planning and insights, brand management, operative product management, go-to-market (GTM) program execution, campaign activation, retail and customer marketing, operator marketing at Indonesia Sales & Marketing level; Responsible for coordinating marketing investments in the whole regions of Indonesia. This is a function overseeing all marketing expert groups on Indonesia area level and coaching/supervising local levels, with the expert groups reporting in matrix to APAC regional marketing function groups.
Position reports solid line to VP, Sales & Marketing Indonesia GM and in matrix to Head of Marketing APAC.
HEAD OF MARKETING - NOKIA INDONESIA
1. Marketing Planning
- Annual and quarterly planning with top down guidance for marketing plans in countries
- Utilizes marketing analytic tools to create marketing tactics within annual plan and to evaluate success of implemented marketing initiatives.
- Driving the optimization of the marketing mix and improve ROI.
- Consolidation of bottom up sales and marketing plans to an integrated plan in channel, country, and geography.
- Ensuring Sales and Marketing alignment.
2. Brand Management and Campaign Activation
- Nokia brand building and support in all activities
- Campaign creative and media planning
- Creative excellence combining global and local guidance and insights
- Touch-points media strategy & development
- Digital and social management
- Sponsorship management
3. Mobile Phone /Smart Devices Product Management/Go-to-Market
- Ensure local requirements are well articulated and adopted by global BU’s.
- Ensure full alignment and execution on global strategy.
- Leader of product GTM process from idea to lifecycle.
- Continued improvement on effectiveness and efficiency of the GTM process.
- Sales package content readiness.
4. Retail & Customer Marketing
- Working closely with global retail & customer marketing team and cascading global strategies to local markets
- Ensures clarity and deployment of global strategies and provides bottom up insights and requirements to global team
- Works closely with Customer Account Sales Teams in developing required cluster support for local Customer Marketing programs
- Works closely with Channel development team in ensuring optimal retail marketing support
5. Own Country Product Game Planning
6. Consumer Insights
- Working closely with global Consumer Insights team and cascading global Consumer Insights strategies to local markets
- Providing required local insights back to global in ensuring all market needs are communicated
- Play host to all market research needs including consumer, advertising, product, channel, shoppers, etc.
7. Leadership of marketing resources
- Leading local marketing teams and working closely with APAC marketing team
- Building high performance and collaborative culture among teams
- Sharing best practice with other regional marketing people and participating in APAC lead marketing team activities
- Competence development of the marketing teams
Relationship with other functions
- Works closely with global, regional and local Marketing and Sales teams to ensure full sales and marketing alignment
- Works closely with BU’s during full product lifecycle.
- Drives alignment of required competencies and talent management as a host marketing function with all global marketing function heads
- Drives alignment and optimization of overall Investment Strategy with Controller
Measures of success:
Revenue, margin, brand consideration and preference, go-to-market execution, services activation rates, team development

We are looking for a first class individual who has exposure to managing and developing major brands. You will need to be a strong leader, able to motivate and develop marketing team. The successful candidate will be comfortable developing a culture that engenders success through results.
- 15+ years of proven track record of marketing experience in technology (preferred) or FMCG With 7+years of experience in leading and managing teams
- Experience in sales, retail or operator management will be a plus
- Experience in developing and managing a brand at the national level
- Mastering of key marketing competencies including developing marketing strategies, planning, consumer insights, campaign development, media planning, trade marketing, retail management, etc.
- Strategic thinking and number savvy
- Experience in ROI management a plus
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in both local language and English
- A degree (ideally MBA) from a 1st class institution
- Capable of leading and coaching
